A Morning of Mindfulness: calm your busy mind

Practical strategies to ease our relationship with stress and overwhelm, and radically enhance our wellbeing

This morning class offers you the chance to unwind and enjoy a range of simple practices that offer both immediate benefit and the potential for long-term value.

The intention is to remember and nurture our inner qualities, strengths and skills so that they can support and sustain us without us having to be dependent on our environment (our health, family life, workplace or even national or global issues) having to be a certain way for us to feel good or function well.

Come join us for a range of simple mindfulness meditations such as the body scan (lying down), a sitting meditation, micro-meditations to be woven into everyday activities, and gentle stretching. It’s a super-practical morning focused on strengthening our capacity to soothe anxiety and agitation, calm an overactive mind, and generally feel more at ease whilst also accepting that anxiety, stress and challenge is part of life, and to a large extent, out of our control.

Who is this suitable for?

Everyone is welcome. The morning is perfect for those who’ve always wanted to find out more about mindfulness in a practical and nonreligious setting. It’s also for those who like to keep in touch and practise with like-minded others, and for those who’d like to refresh their meditation practice.

What else do I need to know?

Bookings are essential.

Tickets include Eventbrite fees.

The early bird expires 11.59pm Sat 29 Feb.

You may cancel your place and receive a refund up to seven days beforehand.

You are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. (If you do this, please send through the name and email of the person taking your spot.)

A couple of days before the event you will be sent a reminder email with details such as parking, what to bring, etc.
